Therefore, as God’s chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience.
Colossians 3:12
Just like the gentle butterfly, adorned with the beauty only God gives, we are to adore ourselves with the virtues listed above. It's not a suggestion; it's an assumption.
