I decorated a purchased journal with a piece of tatted lace-edged linen after sewing on two hearts and a bunch of collected, vintage buttons, beads and a beautiful leaf pin. The bit of lace at the bottom with the woven ribbon has the word "Remember." A separate bookmark consists of assorted ribbons, an earring, a pearl button and a ring from a spool of thread.
