Feeling Trapped?

My eyes are ever on the Lord,
    for only he will release my feet from the snare.

Many times I've felt trapped in a situation from which I could not escape.  Nothing I did released me. I tried to find respite but couldn't and then...

I remembered

and

prayed.

Why do I not find the peace He promises?

 I don't ask.
