Guard My Heart

"Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life," Proverbs 4:23. So many times I let my heart do the leading. Everytime I do that it gets wounded. Oh, that I would be in control of my heart, my emotions, then I would think clearly and discern what's going on.
I got my feelings hurt today and my intentions were good. Sometimes people are just doing their job and I get in the way. It took a long time and a long talk with God to put things in perspective. I wasn't wrong in what I did. I was a scapegoat--someone to whom one could be the authority. Everything's fine, but I'll be careful from now on not to assume authority and not get in that particular situation again.

The base of this art is a playing card on which I painted, collaged and etched.

This really is an amazing piece. I think it speaks volumes of how you were feeling. It's amazing to me how you're able to pour your emotions out into art. I would never be able to do that. You're remarkable.
