The Proclamation

" When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, 'Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about,' " Luke 2:15.
Little did they know that they would be the theme of many a sermon. Could it be that the Lord would proclaim the birth of his Son to the lowliest of low on that Judean hillside? Who were they to witness such an event? Jesus came to everyone, the shepherds and the kings, and He comes to you today if you choose to accept Him.

The photograph in this collage is courtesy of clappstar at Flickr.com. The art is based on cardstock on which I adhered the photo and other ephemera and stippled with antique gold paint. It measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2."
