Struggling with Contentment

I've named this journal "Contentment" based on the 1 Corinthians 13 chapter--the section on "love does not envy," with contentment being the oppostite. The problem lies in the fact that I'm not content with this cover; I don't love it yet. Something is missing, starting with the title. That definitely needs to be changed. It's been sitting on my table for over about a week now and I have no ideas. How about your helping me fix this? I'm open to your suggestions.

Sally, I just came from Deena's blog and I find Nothing wrong with your journal. In fact, I looked at all the beautiful journals you made and they are all fantastic and beautiful. You have a great gift. I think I will be visiting your blog a lot. Hugs, Pat

Hi Sally,
I just came from Deena's blog to yours b/c of her reference to you....so nice to "meet" you - I loved looking at all your work and am inspired by it.
After contemplating this journal cover, this is my thought: if what you have added to this cover doesn't grab you, then strip it down bare, and start all over again. its present state also doesn't grab me. The cover itself is so beautiful - looks embossed perhaps as well...? and maybe that's part of the embelishment or altering direction challenge...? I see it already as so beautiful in and of itself that it's hard, for me anyway, to cover that up....I think it might be cool to use the BACK page of the book as its front - collage/alter, then incorporate this detailed cover on the 1st page...like opening up a book to really discover what the book is about about...and if contentment doesn't grab you, then rip that word off and listen to where to go next.
Just some thoughts.
Best,
Sandra

Thanks for stopping by and entering my giveaway! Good luck! I think your journal is beautiful as it is, but I totally understand when something doesn't look right to *you*. Leave it alone for a couple of days and then come back to it and maybe something will inspire you then or you will be *content* with it.
