Correction Offers Peace

Proverbs 29:17--"If you correct your children, they will bring you peace and happiness."

I'm noticing more and more how confused children are. Many of them have no boundaries in the home and when confronted with limits at school, they fight. Yet, when the teachers are determined to follow through with the guidelines set by the school, the students conform. When talking to the children, they say they love school. What happens is they need the structure that school provides for them. At home they have no structure. They are so undisciplined that they are allowed to do whatever they want. Usually that means they are bored with no focus and nothing worthwhile to accomplish so they find things to do that aren't wholesome. Children need to be guided and have structure and be corrected when they cross the boundaries--So states the Bible.

This card started as a playing card on which I adhered a vintage image and other ephemera, gold thread, ribbon, a bottle cap and a brass charm. I etched in gel medium, stained and highlighted with antique gold and bright gold.
