Isaiah 9:6--"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." It is only September, but Christmas is coming. Just as we anticipate Christmas earlier and earlier every year as merchants put out their wares, so did the early believers. Christ was foretold by many prophets hundreds of years before he was born. The Jews prepared for his coming with anticipation and excitement as we do our Christmas celebrations. Unfortunately, when He did come, so few believed. How many of us actually believe the Christ of Christmas? So few, I fear.I used a playing card as the base of this art. I painted it then collaged a vintage image, etched in gel medium and dry brushed with gold.
