From Weeping To Reward

Jeremiah 31:16: " 'Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,' says the Lord." This is the hope given to us by the prophet, Jeremiah. This may be something to remember when raising children or working with children in school or church. Our children can bring us to the point of tears at times if we let them. Expect respect.
Remind them of honor. Present consistency. Punish by deprivation (within reason.) Express love, regardless. Demonstrate commitment to Christ. Have fun with them. Spend time with them. If you do these things (and more) in the wisdom of God, you will be rewarded.
