Don't Be Afraid

"The angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God,' " Luke 1:30. What a revelation! When I found this angel, I thought of Mary and her encounter with the angel of God. This was no ordinary angel and no ordinary girl. This girl was "favored" by God. Her life must have been exemplary in every way--the perfect child. She was probably still a young girl as some scholars say she might have been in her early teens. How many children in this world lead such a life as to be chosen by God for greatness? I would think very few. We don't know how God could use us, if only we were ready to be used.
